It's easy for me to find the beauty in strangers that come to me with their gorgeous children. It's something fresh, something new, a beauty I've never seen before.
But sometimes I forget to admire the beauty already in my life. Family, friends, faces I see so often that I catch myself forgetting to take it all in.
I have a beautiful best friend with the most fascinating eyes. She let me take her portrait today.

Superman Sighting
I saw Superman at the beach today. Only he was pint sized. And when he took off the cape, his name was Grayson, and he had a brother named Callum.
And together, these two boys where the toughest, most independent kid brothers I think I've met so far. Perfect subjects, really!
Cheers! Enjoy the preview, Melissa!

Have you been trying to reach me by e-mail?
I'm experiencing some problems with my e-mail. It looks like these problems may have begun over the course of the weekend.
I'm very prompt about answering messages, so if you've sent me an e-mail that's gone unanswered, I probably haven't received it. Give me a call at 647-295-3429 and I'll be happy to answer your questions and chat with you about your inquiry.
I'll post again when everything is back to normal.

Love + Love = LOVE
Call me old fashioned, but the thing that fascinates me the most when I photograph young families is watching a couple in love, watching the fruit of love, and a piece of them.
Really, it makes my job terribly easy, and infinitely fulfilling.
Here are a few samples from my session today with Samantha and her mum & dad!

Sunday Morning at the Beach!
This morning I met an impossibly gorgeous family at the beach for a session. The moon-shaped laughing eyes on Ella completely stole my heart, and Jordan's shy and quirky side was so much fun to shoot.
Here's a sneak peek for mom, who was anxious to see how this shot came out...
So cute. I love seeing siblings interacting together; they always seem to share this insightful and intimate language exclusive to them.
Stay tuned for a few more of this and other recent sessions; I should be updating the galleries this week with more great work.

One stylin' family!
This afternoon I rendez-vous'd with Kelly, Sean and Jack at their home for a family session and was met with one handsome family!
Jack had this incredible personality and showed me everything from his moves on the backyard swings to the war wounds he got playing with his dog that morning.
All in all, tons of fun... and I'm pleased with how this came through in the photographs. Enjoy the sneak peek, Kelly!

Once upon a time, there were two anxious gentlemen and a beautiful mum...
I had the pleasure of photographing an adorable family this morning. When I arrived, Dylan was so shy I thought it might be a while before I got anything more than hide and seek shots... but this little guy came out of his shell. Actually, he exploded out of his shell, and he was the bubbliest, funniest laughing little boy I've met!
The session was fun, playful and easy. Here's a couple of peeks at what came of it...

News & Thanks & Everything Nice
Well it's official; I'm wearing sweaters on an almost daily basis, the sun's taken a liking to playing hide and seek, and the malls are full of kids stocking up on school supplies and fashion accessories sure to make them uber-cool. The Fall is coming, faster than ever!
I want to thank all of you for the kudos on my new website! I always appreciate the feedback. It's been a busy summer for me, and alot of that busy is about to unfold. Here are a few things to stay tuned for...
For those interested in seeing me babble under pressure, stay tuned for my appearance on The Mom Show November 14th, at 9am, 11am and again at 2pm.
Also keep an eye out in November for the cover of Today's Parent Toronto , which can be found either tucked inside Today's Parent magazine, or handed out free in Toronto public libraries. I had the pleasure of photographing the winner and contestants of the cover contest for this Toronto magazine.
But you can catch me even sooner at Today's Parent Baby and Toddler Show taking place at Metro Toronto Convention Centre, October 28-29-30th. I'm excited at the prospect of meeting new faces over the course of that weekend, and hope to see many of you there!
I've been a little neglectful about posting preview samples on here lately because of the new client proofing feature on my website, but I'll try to share a little more in the upcoming weeks. For now... here's a couple of my favorite shots from the weekend. Her name was Morgane, and she was all about chocolate ice cream!

Where does this summer think it's going?
I think this may be the longest I've gone without posting! When I finished working on the new site a week or so ago, I decided to take a little vacation to spend time with neglected family and friends. I think it was well time!
I spent some time enjoying the neighbourhood, checking out the festivals. I even reacquainted myself with my kitten Sabine, who as much as she purred, looked pretty unimpressed. The highlight today was my sister and brother-in-law's dog, Janku, who had a blast trying to bite off more than she can chew.
Cheers, all!

Makeovers aren't just for people!
I've been busy this past week, working on a serious overhaul of my website. The new and improved www.joseecaza.com should be up and running by next week (I'll definitely post again the day of to let you all in on the exact day!).
I'm so thrilled about this, because until now, I've been promoting myself with a website I've had little control over; the photographs on it are old and don't reflect any of my recent talent, progress and evolution.
Everything on the new site will be new work shot in the past few months, and I plan on adding and changing the work often and consistently. There will also be exciting features on the site, such as a log-in section where my clients can go to view their sessions with me. I know that moms are busy people, and I'm always looking for solutions to make their lives easier by finding functional ways to work with them.
Stay tuned! I should have an update for you all shortly.

It's raining newborns, Hallelujah!
I've officially reached my cute quota this week; one more of these shoots and I'll be crying for one of my own!
Today I photographed baby Faith with her parents, Deborah and Grant. The thing I love the most about newborn sessions is that the parents are so in love with their new little bundles that I can stop being the director-photographer generally required to photograph adults, and step back and be the observer.
Moments, moments, moments... there are so many, and they are all so sweet and captivating. Here are a few from earlier today.
Congratulations to these brand new parents!

What more can a photographer hope for?
A newborn, a wide-eyed toddler, and a gorgeous couple; I had a fantastic shoot with a brand new family of four today, and I, am, THRILLED with the results. The photographs are sweet and playful, and truly reflective of the spirit of this family.
Enjoy the sneak peek, Nancy & Mike!

Another expecting couple steals my heart!
The only thing more touching than documenting the upcoming arrival of a baby is doing so with a couple as sweet and excited as Lisa and Jason were today.
I can't attest to it, but a little bird told me that being pregnant isn't easy; especially not with this heat! But I saw nothing of the strains and difficulties of pregnancy in this couple... all that came through for me today was a close bond, a real love and the thrilled hearts of a budding family.
Here are a few shots that stole my heart... enjoy the preview, guys!

Ollie-Ollie-Oliver!
Okay. Just when I thought "it doesn't get any cuter than this" this week, I meet Oliver! But the coolest thing about meeting Oliver, was that the first time I photograped this 1 and a half year old, he was in his mummy's belly! Actually... Ryan, too, was in her mum's tummy the first time I photographed her, so this is a week of serious updates!
From grins to smiles to laughs to quiet and contemplative looks, and even a couple of brief cries, this baby gave me everything I wanted in a session.
Enjoy the sneak peek, Erin!
